Another ISIS suicide bombing attack targets Americans and Kurds; ISIS threatens more attacks

On January 21, 2019, ISIS carried out a suicide bombing attack using a car bomb against a joint American-Kurdish patrol. The attack occurred near a roadblock west of the city of al-Shaddadi, south of al-Hasakeh (a region east of the Euphrates under Kurdish control).

Examination of the list of fatalities in the “return marches” reveals that most of them are operatives of terrorist organizations, about half of whom affiliated with Hamas

The events of the “return marches” in the Gaza Strip have continued for 42 weeks. In most cases, these events are characterized by a high level of violence, resulting in casualties among the rioters, mainly among those in the front line confronting the IDF troops. According to the ITIC's examination, based on reports of the Gaza Strip Ministry of Health in combination with other sources, since the beginning of the “return marches” on March 30, 2018, a total of 187 Palestinians were killed in those events.

ISIS Mass-Casualty Suicide Bombing Attack in Manbij and Its Significance (Initial Report)

On January 16, 2019, ISIS carried out a suicide bombing attack in the northeastern Syrian city of Manbij, apparently targeting an American army patrol which included Kurdish fighters. Nineteen people were killed, four Americans, five Kurds and ten civilians. The attack was carried out during the American-Kurdish withdrawal from the city.

End of Operation Northern Shield to expose and neutralize Hezbollah tunnels on Israel’s northern border

On January 13, 2019, Israel announced the completion of Operation Northern Shield, carried out to locate and neutralize Hezbollah tunnels penetrating into Israeli territory from Lebanon. According to the announcement, all the tunnels crossing the border had been exposed.

Senior Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hamas figures praise Iran’s military support and threaten that in the next war the rocket fire from the Gaza Strip will reach all the cities in Israel and the “resistance axis” will coordinate its actions on all fronts.

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) leadership recently visited Iran and Lebanon to meet with the Iranian leadership and Hezbollah secretary general Hassan Nasrallah. They also gave interviews where they the deep bond between Iran and the "Palestinian resistance."
