The United States proposed a UN General Assembly resolution condemning Hamas and other terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip

On November 30, 2018, the United States Mission to the United Nations proposed a resolution calling for the condemnation of Hamas for its terrorist activities in the Gaza Strip. According to the proposed resolution, Hamas is to be condemned for its repeated firing of rockets into Israel, inciting violence and putting civilians at risk, and using airborne incendiary devices [such as kites and balloons].

Operation Northern Shield on the Israel-Lebanon Border for the Destruction of Hezbollah Tunnels Penetrating into Israel (The situation on the ground updated to noon, December 5, 2018)

On December 4, 2018, the IDF began an operation on the Israel-Lebanon border. It is called Operation Northern Shield and is being conducted in Israeli territory, led by the Norther Command. Its objective is to expose and neutralize Hezbollah terrorist attack tunnels penetrating into Israeli territory.

On December 3, 2018, during the most recent mini-flotilla and its accompanying demonstration in the northern Gaza Strip, Fathi Hamad, a member of Hamas' political bureau, was interviewed by al-Jazeera. Hamas continues military training for students in government high schools in the Gaza Strip to prepare them to join its ranks

During 2018 Hamas has continued providing military training for students in government high schools in the Gaza Strip, with the "return marches" and ongoing tension with Israel in the background. The training is part of the al-Futuwwa ("youth/heroism") program, which prepares them to join the ranks of Hamas (and other terrorist organizations) in the future.

The American State Department recently offered a reward of up to $5 million for information that would lead to the identification or location of Saleh al-'Arouri, deputy head of Hamas' political bureau, and two senior Hezbollah military operatives.
