The Liberation of Ramadi: The situation on the ground and significance
On December 28, 2015, after seven days of fighting against ISIS operatives, the Iraqi army, with air support from the United States and the coalition, took over the center of the city of Ramadi where the governmental buildings are located. So far the Iraqi army has apparently taken control most of the city (about 70%-80%).
